Antony Gormley at the National Gallery of Singapore

Antony Gormley is internationally recognized for his sculptures. Public installations and works of art that explore the relationship between the human body and space. humans relate to nature and the cosmos.
Gormley’s new commission to the Ng Teng Fong Roof Garden Gallery, Horizon Field Singapore (2021), invites visitors to walk through a vast array of aluminum rings. Allowing them to co-create the experience by walking through the rings.

This new site-specific installation is complemented by three sculptures placed around the gallery. They present key aspects of the in-depth study of the human body by Gormley: Close V, Sense and Ferment. They also provide a larger context for Horizon Field Singapore, where our own bodies are part of the work and where we can reimagine our own relationship with our surroundings.
