Brian Clarke
Museum of Arts & Design – Until Feb 21, 2021 New-York (US)
An immersive exhibition of over 100 works of stained glass. Compositions in lead and associated drawings will present British artist Brian Clarke as one of the most important artists working in stained glass. Both a leader in new technologies and a brilliant aesthetic innovator. Since the early 1970s, Clarke has collaborated with some of the world’s foremost architects. He has created stained glass designs and installations for hundreds of projects. The centerpiece of the exhibition will be more than twenty freestanding glass screens. Animated by lights. Changing and tinged with exuberant and saturated colors. These dramatic works will transport audiences to the very frontier of the possible in stained glass today.
